The contrast between city and country life, can be experienced here in Higüey up close like nowhere else, as we take you in air conditioned comfort to the city’s most famous monument,  the Church of San Dionisio (Saint Denis), from the 16th century and the famous Basilica of La Altagracia  which Pope Paul II personally blessed back in 1992.

To continue the experience we drive towards Higüey’s Countryside to the rural area of Matachalupe.
